Privacy Policy
The short version
K8 runs entirely on your computer. We don't collect your data. We don't want your data. Your files are yours.
What K8 does
K8 scans files on your local machine to find duplicates and unnecessary files. All scanning, analysis, and file operations happen locally. K8 does not connect to the internet during scanning. No file data, metadata, filenames, folder structures, or scan results are transmitted anywhere. Ever.
What we collect
K8 itself collects nothing. Zero telemetry. Zero analytics. Zero tracking. We don't know how many files you scan, how often you use K8, or what's on your computer.
The only data involved in your K8 purchase is:
- Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle. We never see or store your card details. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and processes payments in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- Licence key — your key is stored locally on your machine in a settings file. It is not transmitted anywhere after activation.
- Email address — only if you voluntarily contact us at support@lilbuba.ai or sign up for launch notifications. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry or send product updates you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. K8 does not use cookies. There is nothing to accept, reject, or manage.
Third parties
We do not sell, share, or transfer any personal data to third parties. The only third party involved is Paddle (payment processing), who operate under their own GDPR-compliant privacy policy.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
Since we don't collect personal data through K8, there's very little to exercise rights over. However, if you've contacted us by email and wish to have your correspondence deleted, email support@lilbuba.ai and we'll sort it.
Children
K8 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children because we don't knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update it here with a new date. Given that our policy is essentially "we don't collect your data", we don't anticipate major revisions.

Terms & Conditions
Overview
These terms govern your use of K8 software products ("K8") provided by LilBuba.ai. By purchasing and installing K8, you agree to these terms.
Licence
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use K8 on one computer at a time. You may transfer your licence to a replacement computer by deactivating the old installation first. If your old machine is no longer accessible, contact us to reset your activation.
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicence K8
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Use K8 to build a competing product
- Share your licence key with others
What K8 does
K8 identifies duplicate and unnecessary files on your computer and allows you to remove them. All file operations are initiated by you. K8 will not delete anything without your explicit instruction. All deletions go through a 30-day quarantine system where files can be restored.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing K8's recommendations before acting on them. While K8 is designed to be safe and includes multiple safeguards (protected folders, quarantine, confirmation prompts), you should always maintain backups of important data. This is good practice regardless of what software you use.
Updates
All updates to your purchased K8 product are included free of charge, forever. This covers bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features within the product you purchased. Separate K8 products (Bionic, Cruft, Media) each require their own licence.
Refund policy
K8 is thoroughly tested and we don't anticipate any problems. Should you encounter a genuine technical issue, please contact us at support@lilbuba.ai. We do not refund for change of mind or after successful K8 use.
Payment
Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. All pricing includes applicable taxes as calculated by Paddle for your region. Paddle handles all payment processing, invoicing, and tax compliance.
Intellectual property
K8 and its detection algorithms are the intellectual property of LilBuba.ai. The K8 detection method is patent pending (UK IPO, 2026). All trademarks, logos, and brand assets belong to LilBuba.ai.
Limitation of liability
K8 is provided "as is". While we've built extensive safeguards into the software (quarantine system, protected folders, confirmation prompts), LilBuba.ai is not liable for data loss resulting from user-initiated file operations. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of your K8 licence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
